The details

You get to experience magic each day. It just takes saying yes— and sometimes no.

Let’s embrace the opportunity to share joy and kindness.

Do what matters and leave a legacy.

I have the privilege of working with GED seekers in the Austin area. My work helps make higher education accessible and possible for students in our service area.

  • I grew up in the Cajun Heartland, south Louisiana. I love to dance, cook, and share good times. I won’t pass up a good gumbo on a cold day, nor will I deny myself the joy of a pistolette. My hometown has grown into a medium-sized city, but when I was in school, we had a town meeting over adding a second stop sign. There were sugar cane fields and cattle crossing on the school bus route. I have been fortunate enough to keep some my best friend from when I was in middle school.Description text goes here

  • My earliest memories are of traveling. My dad was in the Air Force when I was young, and we moved to several states before we settled in Louisiana. As a young adult, I traveled as far and as often as I could. First, it was New York City. Then, it was Yucatan, Mexico. I spent about five years teaching English in Taiwan with a quick summer in Thailand. In and around Austin, I like to go exploring, usually on my run-cations. I sign up for a race and travel to a new city or park for fun. I still have a very long list of places I must see. Description text goes here

Love in the time of COVID-19

2021 has been an exciting year. Despite the ravages of COVID-19 pandemic since March 2020, I’ve been able to take my place as a wife to the man of my dreams.

“My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”

— Maya Angelou

For many years, I have led a women’s small group Bible study. I’d love to deepen my faith and explore Austin with you.
